Steve Jobs; the founder and leading
proprietor of Apple inc., is an inspiration to many technology and business
leaders. He was responsible for the “iPod” that came out in 2001- this blew
people’s minds as the idea of songs being digitally stored on a device from
using a huge Walkman was something unthought-of and so he also blew thing minds
of the world with the “iPhone” in 2007 and many other creations.
He left an iconic, life-changing empire in
the hands of Tim Cook – a job that most would find very daunting. Cook is
Apple’s current CEO and continues to build on Job’s legacy of innovative
technology. He is known as the most successful managers in the history of
business and at that, has the innovative mind of Steve Jobs. He introduced the
“iPad mini”, which is now the best-selling tablet in the market, according to analysts.
This shows how Cook has shaped Apple into one of the most profitable companies
ever; since Cook joined in 1998, Apple has generated more than $500 billion in
revenue and almost $175 billion in earnings before taxes. Even during
controversial times such as when Apple was under heavy fire for the working
conditions in factories that made iPhones, Tim pushed to immensely improve
these conditions, proving that he is a responsible leader. These are a just a few
innovative things that Cook has done. He took the lead as CEO after the loss of
Jobs and continues to deliver new products, growth and profitability in a way
that outshines most other CEOs.
